"Out of all the things we are capable of doing in this world, dance is the one thing that makes me incredibly happy and it gives me the chance to express my feelings. When I listen to a song, no matter the emotion/emotions discussed in the song, I put myself in the singer’s shoes and get to see and feel things from their perspective. Dance makes me feel free and capable of the impossible and helps me relax and let loose for a while. If I’m walking down the street and I hear music coming from a car passing by me or stopped at a traffic light, I start dancing and don’t care who is watching or how ridiculous I may look to

The dance members that I met there were fenomenal, everyone there had the will to give everything they had in them to perform the right way. All the dance members in there had such great focus that they basically would never give up, some even took dance and changed their lives physically and mentally. I've made a lot of good friends there that I will never forget, even the people that I would just say hi to occasionally I'm still never going to forget their faces and their abilities in dancing. The beauty about it was that everyone was unique in their own way, had their own style, own preferred style of dance and preferred song. Yet again everyone showed a lot of effort to utilize their time wisely and to practice for as long as they could. some people. Dancing is where I find my happy place. This is where all of my problems go out the window and I only focus on the beat of the song running through my veins and moving my body. We all fail and succeed at certain activities in life and dancing is the one activity that doesn’t get me frustrated if I can’t learn the steps or nail them on my first try. I am never willing to give up and I am dedicated to practice and willing to work hard to get to where I would like to go. Dancing makes me feel confident, anxious, happy, relaxed and unstoppable.
I decided to start going to Elan not only because of my passion for dancing but also because I love to be surrounded by others that share the same passion and dedication for dance as I do. When I hear a song, I picture people dancing in sync, doing certain moves according to the words and rhythm of the music and I see exactly where I would place everyone and how they would transition into other parts and everything. All of the teachers at Elan have inspired me in so many ways, not only dance related. If possible I would like to continue to dance forever and maybe even get to the point of being able to compete and maybe even become a choreographer or even a teacher. In order to make my dreams come true, being part of a group is a great way to gain experience and see how others operate and compare their teaching techniques. I don’t see the teachers as just my teachers. I see them more as a family.
